Working through Lockdown.

This is my first blog written specifically for our new website and who knew that I would be writing it during the biggest public health crisis to hit the UK in living memory.

My office in Halifax is currently closed and I am currently working remotely from home, along with members of my hard-working and dedicated team.

Like everyone in this position, it hasn’t been easy but I am pleased to say that we have adapted and chosen a flexible approach to ensure that our clients receive a seamless and professional ongoing service.

We have delivered this via a mix of traditional communications methods – coupled with virtual platforms. These include:

  • Client and team meetings using video-based technology. This has been extremely effective and it’s been great to talk to people “face to face”. We’ve maximised the benefits of Zoom, Skype and Teams wherever possible.
  • Traditional telephone calls and email updates/discussions.
  • Posting updates to help our clients deal with the current crisis via social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. You can follow these links from our website – insert link. Please do “like” us and share our information as it helps to spread the word.
  • Publishing e-briefings, whereby clients can sign up to Insights, our regular online articles covering a variety of topics, including protection, pensions, daily and weekly market updates etc. To register for updates, please clink on the link.

We also held an extremely successful “webinar” on Friday, May 22nd, focused on issues arising from the ongoing business impact of Covid-19.
